A dress can look beautiful online and still arrive with pulling seams, a twisted lining or fabric that feels nothing like the photographs. A designer label does not rule that out, and neither does a high price. Knowing what to inspect gives you a much better idea of what you are paying for, whether you are shopping new or second-hand.
